MIKHAIL BARAZNA
PH.D., PROFESSOR, RECTORGraduated from the Belarusian State Theatre and Art Institute (the Faculty of Design and Decorative and Applied Arts, a degree in Industrial Graphics) in 1985.
Started his career as an art editor at the “Belarus” Publishing House in 1986. Beginning with 1992 was a lecturer, the Deputy Head of the Department of History and Theory of Arts and the Vice Rector at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.
Was appointed Rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts in 2010.
Professor of the Department of History and Theory of Arts.
Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, a member of the “Belarusian Union of Artists” Public Association, a member of the Republican Creative Union “Photoart”, the Chairman of the Expert Artistic Committee of the Special Presidential Fund for Talented Youth, the Chairman of the Expert Artistic Council on Monumental and Monumental and Decorative Arts, a jury permanent member of the “Book Art” National Contest, a jury member of international creative competitions. A participant of the Projects “Guide Apollonia – Art contemporaine de l’Europe – centrale et orientale” (Council of Europe, 1997) and “Osteuropaprogramm 1996/97 der Kunstakademie Muenster”.
The author of “The Belarusian Book Graphics of the 1960-1990s” (2001), “The Belarusian Painting of the 1920s-1970s” (2006), “Art of the Belarusian Book of the 20th Century” (2007), more than 200 scientific articles and critiques..
A participant in the conference “Eurovision. From Cultural Network to Politics” (Berlin, Germany, 2004), a member of the 2nd Forum of the Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS (Astana, Kazakhstan, 2007), an honorary guest and moderator of the Fine Arts, Architecture and Design Group and the Arts Education Group of the 3rd Forum of the Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS (Chisinau, Moldova, 2009), a participant of the 4th Forum of the Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS (Moscow, Russia, 2010).
A participant of the First Congress of Scientists of the Republic of Belarus (2007), a member of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue (Baku, Azerbaijan, 2011), a member of the International Congress “Culture as a Modernization Resource” (Ulyanovsk, Russia, 2011).
Has been the curator and participant of art exhibitions in Belarus and abroad since 1995: the curator of the exhibition of modern Belarusian artists during the Days of Belarusian Culture in Paris (Hall of Pierre Cardin, 2002), a participant of the 8th Baltic Triennial of International Art in Vilnius (Lithuania, 2002), the head of the Belarusian delegation at the Prague Set Design Quadrennial (the Czech Republic, 2007), the curator of the exhibition “belart.by. Young artists of Belarus” in Moscow (Russia, 2010), the curator of the Pavilion of the Republic of Belarus at the 54th International Art Biennale in Venice (2011).
Works in the field of photographics, book illustration and design. His works can be found in museums, public and private collections.

SVIATLANA VINAKURAVA
PROFESSOR, FIRST VICE RECTORGraduated from the Belarusian State University (the Faculty of Philosophy, honours degree) in 1974. Completed her postgraduate programme at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 1978 and in 1980 got her Ph.D. degree (which corresponds to Candidate of Science degree in our country).
Completed her senior doctorate programme at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the National Academy of Sciences, defended her thesis and received her senior doctorate in 1993. Got an academic title of Professor in 1996.
Worked at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus combining it with teaching activity, at the Maksim Tank Minsk Pedagogical Institute, and then in the governmental body.
The First Vice Rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts since 2006.
Successfully engages in science and research. Research interests lie in philosophical and ethical issues and the development of methodological approaches to the study of moral practice. Her main scientific works are connected with the problems of moral development of a personality, justification of features of humanitarian knowledge and the need of increasing the prestige of philosophy for modern society. Has repeatedly represented our country abroad taking part in international scientific conferences in Budapest, Stockholm, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey and the CIS countries.
Under her supervision, one Ph.D. thesis was defended. Supervises work of three postgraduate students and doctoral candidates.
The author of about 200 publications (including 11 author’s editions, 2 monographs, 4 encyclopaedic handbooks, 5 textbooks and teaching aids).

HANNA KONANAVA
PH.D., ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR VICE-RECTOR FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
ANDREI VASILEVSKI
VICE RECTORGraduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts with a degree in TV direction. The manager of the Ye.Mirovich Theatre Studio from 2005 to 2011. The Vice Rector for Administrative and Procurement Work of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts since 2011.

IRINA BOGACHYOVA
PHD, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, ACADEMIC SECRETARYGraduated from the A.V.Lunacharsky Belarusian State Conservatoire in 1985.
Got a PhD degree in Pedagogy (which corresponds to Candidate of Science degree in our country) in 2001 and an academic title of associate professor in 2003.
The Academic Secretary of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts since 2012.
Worked in the institutions of culture over 28 years, holding various posts. Rector of the Belarusian State Institute for Culture from 2005 to 2008.
A developer of a number of projects on vocational education in the sphere of culture and art, of educational standards, etc., a participant and the head of expert councils, various state programmes, etc.
Took part in the development of quality management system documents of the Academy in 2012.
Successfully combines administrative work in the field of culture with scientific and teaching work in higher education institutions of culture and art. Research interests lie in education in the field of culture.
Has repeatedly represented the country abroad taking part in international conferences in Moscow, Budapest, Warsaw, and the CIS countries.
